A Will in Israel Inheritance Law<\/b><\/h4>\n

A will is a legal document which details how an individual\u2019s property should be distributed after they pass away. \u00a0A will ensures that the individual\u2019s property will be divided according to their wishes. \u00a0It can detail instructions or conditions as to how the individual wishes for the property to be administered or divided. \u00a0A will does not have to be detailed, and it may just include guidelines on how the individual wishes to distribute their property.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Registrar of Inheritance Affairs manages these issues within the Ministry of Justice in Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Four Types of Wills<\/b><\/h4>\n

There are four types of wills recognized in Israel inheritance law.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. A handwritten will<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. A will that is made in the the presence of witnesses<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. A will that is made before an authority<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. An oral will (otherwise known as a \u201cdeathbed will\u201d)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
